Sweet Evil
In honor of tomorrow's release of Sweet Reckoning the third and final book in The Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins, I want to recommend the first book in the series to you all.The first book in The Sweet Trilogy is Sweet Evil. Here's the book summary
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences? This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels. Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaiden Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna. Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
I liked the character development in this book and even more so through the series I like how much Anna develops from being the naive sheltered girl to a strong women in the end of the second. She is thrown into a world where angels and demons aren't just ideas that are in books but that she's half of each. She suffers through unrequited love as well as being told she will leader of the nephilim race against the Dukes. And Kaiden, he was destined to be a bad influence on Anna but Anna sees the good in him and proceeds to push Kaiden to be a better person. The series only gets better with the second novel. I can't wait to see what will happen when the series comes to a close in the final book.
